Who can send messages?

Any member or administrator in the workspace can send direct messages and create group chats.

Can I create group chats?

Yes. Select multiple members, give the group a name, and start the conversation.

What file types can I share?

Images, PDFs, Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint files, CSVs, archives, and audio/video files. Up to 50 MB per file.

How are users notified of new messages?

Users receive push notifications through the Deskie mobile app. Unread messages also show badges in the conversation list.

Can I search past conversations?

Yes. You can search conversations by name from the message list.

What happens to messages when a staff member leaves?

All conversation history stays in Deskie and remains accessible to the workspace.

Messages gives everyone in your space a way to communicate directly inside Deskie. Send direct messages between administrators and members, or create group chats for conversations with multiple people. Share files within conversations: documents, images, spreadsheets, and more.
