Adding Assets

Learn how to add and manage assets like desks, offices, meeting rooms, and other bookable resources.

What are assets?

Assets in Deskie represent the physical resources in your space — hot desks, dedicated desks, private offices, meeting rooms, event spaces, lockers, parking spots, and more. Each asset can be assigned to members, made bookable, or both.

Creating an asset

Navigate to Assets in the sidebar and click "Add Asset." Choose the asset type, give it a name (e.g., "Desk 4", "Meeting Room A", "Office 201"), set the location, and configure its properties — capacity, hourly/daily rate, amenities, and availability schedule.

Asset types

Deskie supports several asset types:

  • Hot Desks — First-come, first-served workstations
  • Dedicated Desks — Assigned to a specific member
  • Private Offices — Assigned to a member or team
  • Meeting Rooms — Bookable by the hour
  • Custom types — For anything else you need to manage

Assigning assets to members

For dedicated desks and private offices, you can assign the asset directly to a member. Go to the asset's detail page, click Assign, and search for the member. The assignment will appear on both the asset page and the member's profile.

Making assets bookable

For meeting rooms, hot desks, and event spaces, enable booking on the asset's detail page. Set the booking rules: minimum and maximum duration, advance booking window, cancellation policy, and pricing. Members can then book through their portal.
