Direct messages
Deskie includes built-in messaging so you can communicate with members without leaving the platform. Navigate to Messages in the sidebar to see your conversations. Click a conversation to open it, or start a new one by clicking the compose icon.
Starting a conversation
Click the new message icon and search for a member by name. Type your message and send. The member will receive a notification (email, push, or SMS depending on their settings). You can also start a conversation directly from a member's profile page.
Group chats
Need to message multiple members at once? Create a group chat. Click the new message icon, add multiple members, give the group a name, and start chatting. Group chats are great for committees, teams, or event coordination.
Notifications and delivery
Messages are delivered in real-time within the Deskie app. Members also receive notifications via their preferred channel — email, push notification, or SMS. Message notification preferences can be configured by each member in their account settings.
